After the introduction of Google's Panda, the entire algorithm of Google indexing system has changed. Now the top rankings cannot be achieved easily by older techniques. Therefore you need to work from now on the techniques that still work.

Below are few good SEO techniques :

SEO Technique 1 : Original & Unique Content

If your site has original content, then you will be indexed by Google with a better position. Sites that have duplicate content do not get good placement in the search results.

SEO Technique 2 : Correct Use of keywords

While the naming of your article or the placement of your links, you should always remember that you only use the keywords that are most often entered by the people in the search engines, because only then will they find a way to your site. For beginners, start with the keywords where you have less competition.

SEO Technique 3 : Submit Your Site to Good Directories

Submit your site only to good directories like DMOZ, Google, etc, and the second thing do not use low quality links. Try out these techniques and after a short time you will notice that your site get a higher ranking in search engine results.

SEO Technique 4 - SEO and Web Design

Not all web designs are SEO friendly. For example, Java websites for the search engines are more difficult to read. On the other hand, it is easier to integrate different SEO plugins and additions to the sites which are based on standard CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal). Also, some themes are optimized for the search engines better than the other. Think of SEO as early as possible and save you a complete rebuild of the site later.

SEO Technique 8 : Avoid Java and AJAX

Avoid anything that flashes and animated. Even (or especially) intros have lost nothing on your homepage. First, it is bad for usability (ease of use) and secondly - this is the greater evil - search engines cannot do anything. Search engines recognize text, no pictures or animations. So give your text. The more, the better. It uses the graphic swankiest nothing if no one finds you.
