Google Panda update has shaken the SEO domain specially those who were using Black Hat SEO techniques to get high ranking

Google Panda was first released in February 2011. This update was designed to reduce rankings for low-quality sites.

*Sites which are low-value add for users

*Sites that use copied content from other websites

 At the same time, it appreciates high-quality sites, sites with original content and information such as research & original reports or thoughtful analysis.

This change reportedly affected the rankings of almost 12 percent of all search results.   Google published an advisory on its blog to help the affected publishers. Google has provided a list of 23 points on its blog answering the question of "What counts as a high-quality site?".  

We have to always keep in mind that people want real, useful & quality content – and Google is just trying its best to deliver us that which we desire. Publishing content just for getting traffic is not a good idea. Basically with this update Google penalized those sites & reduced their ranking.

If you want to maintain or increase your ranking then follow below steps :

1. Remove all low quality pages from your site.

2. Do not use same keywords on the multiple pages.

3. Avoid getting backlinks from the low quality sites.

4. Avoid autogenerated pages on your site.

5. Do not add pages with 1 or 2 paragraphs.

6. Add good content & keep updating your site.

7. Navigation structure of your site should be clean & internal linking should be strong.

8. Do not use same content on several pages. Also use original content.

 

Bascially Panda update will not effect those sites that use White Hat SEO techniques to get higher ranking on search engines & are more user friendly & offer some value to users.
